Thinking about newborn portraits

I've got newborn portraits on my mind and thought I'd share with you the photo I used for Cricket's birth announcement. What fun to remember those first few days of her life when we were just getting acquainted with each other. At the time I wondered how her personality and physical features would change as she grew. Now I see she's the same little angel she was then in just about every way, albeit larger and more opinionated.

I can hardly believe we'll be starting the process all over with another baby in the next few weeks. As far as her newborn photos go, I've collected a few props and ideas but am wondering how much creative energy I'll actually have when the time comes. We'll see...
